Individual Therapy

Danville, Ca (virtually throughout California)

You deserve to feel heard and understood in a safe space without judgment.

You may not have people in your life who listen when you share how you’re feeling. You may not have the skills to cope with the challenges you’re facing in your day-to-day life.

Counseling can provide you with a safe space where you can share without judgment, where you can learn new skills to manage these challenges, and where you can explore who you are in this moment and who you want to be. You’ll learn to be kind to yourself, how to sit with feelings that are uncomfortable so that you can grow and evolve.

I provide a space where you can be you and you can be your authentic self or discover who that is or who you want that to be. You set pace you take the lead. I will be here to support you, guide you when you get stuck and provide skills and tools to help you along the way.  My approach is a cultural affirming and trauma informed integrated approach utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), IFS -Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, existential, attachment, and strength-based theories.

How Individual Therapy Works

Step 1

Schedule a Free Consultation

The first step is to schedule a free consultation where we can determine if we’re a good fit. We’ll talk about what prompted you to seek therapy and about what you hope to achieve in therapy.

Step 2

Have Our First Session Together

During our first session, we’ll explore in more detail your journey to therapy. I will do a lot of listening to give you space to share your story.

Step 3

Collaborate on Therapy Goals

In our second session, together we’ll create a plan of what you want to achieve during our time together. We’ll discuss some of the roadblocks you may face and strategies to overcome them.

Step 4

Ongoing Sessions & Goal Check In

In our subsequent sessions, we will continue to work on the goals you created at the beginning of therapy. If new problems arise, we will hold space for those problems, too. We will check in on your goals and make adjustments as necessary.
